Basal Implants

A dental implant is a surgical part that interfaces with the bone of the jaw or skull to support a dental prosthesis, for example, a crown, span, denture, facial prosthesis or to go about as an orthodontic stay. It is responsible for replacing missing teeth with as many artificial roots made of titanium, which in turn may support a single tooth (crown on implant), a group of closely spaced teeth (bridge on implants) or may serve to stabilize a total prosthesis higher or lower.

Procedure
Under local anaesthesia the implant is inserted into the bone. In most cases, the patient may wait to its normal activities the very next day. Immediately after they were entered, the implants are covered by the gum and the process, called osseointegration, it begins (the system becomes one with the bone). This physiological process requires 3 to 6 months. Meanwhile solution is applied with temporary teeth.
